Cold & Flu Season – Find Vaccines in Couchiching

As respiratory illness season approaches, it’s important to take steps to protect yourself and those around you. Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza (flu) is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of serious illness and help keep our community healthy.

You can get your vaccines in a few convenient ways:

Book through your primary care provider
If you have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, contact their office to ask about vaccine availability.

Visit a participating pharmacy
Many local pharmacies are offering both COVID-19 and flu vaccines. Please call ahead to the numbers listed below to confirm vaccine availability and hours.

Don’t have a primary care provider?
You can still get vaccinated at participating pharmacies. Some community clinics may also offer vaccine appointments—check back here for updates.

Antiviral Medications

If you become ill, antiviral treatments may help reduce the severity and duration of illness when taken early:

Tamiflu (oseltamivir) – available by prescription for eligible patients with influenza.

Paxlovid – available by prescription for eligible patients who test positive for COVID-19.

Contact your primary care provider, pharmacist, or local clinic to discuss whether antiviral treatment is right for you. Availability may vary—please call ahead to confirm current Tamiflu and Paxlovid stock at participating pharmacies listed below.
