(March 3, 2026 – Orillia, ON) –– The Couchiching Ontario Health Team (COHT), in partnership with North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services, will host its annual Caregiver Appreciation Event on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Hawk Ridge Golf Club in Severn.
This year’s event introduces a new collaborative format designed to strengthen connections between caregivers and health and social service providers. By bringing both groups together, the day will focus on shared learning, meaningful dialogue, and practical strategies to enhance the health care experience for caregivers across the Couchiching region.
The event will be structured in three segments:
- 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Caregivers only
- 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Caregivers and Service Providers
- 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Service Providers only
Participants will hear presentations on home safety, social prescribing, and caregiver supports offered by the Ontario Caregiver Organization, along with additional community resources aimed at strengthening local systems of care.
This free event is open to both caregivers and service providers. Lunch will be provided. Respite support will be available for caregivers who require it.
The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Hawk Ridge Golf Club, 1151 Hurlwood Lane, Severn.
