Jennifer Seymore – Innovation in Practice

Congratulations to Jennifer Seymore, a Personal Support Worker with LOFT Community Services Hub and Spoke program.
Jennifer is nominated in the Innovation in Practice category for implementing creative solutions or improvements. Jennifer was nominated by Stephanie Boehm, Coordinator of Complex Care and Assisted Living for LOFT’s Hub and Spoke program. Here is what Stephanie had to say:
“I am nominating this woman because she is the rock of our small but mighty team. Whenever there is an issue / concern, Jennifer will always be the first to jump in and help to problem solve. She never waits to be asked. Jennifer is a leader amongst her team and will do anything to support that team, her leadership members, and most importantly the clients she sees and their families. There aren’t enough words to say all that Jennifer does and represents. She is a shining star!
One of our clients that the whole LOFT community views as a success story told me in a client satisfaction survey that I was conducting that LOFT has saved her life. And more specifically, Jennifer has saved her life. She shared that Jennifer has taught her how to take care of herself in ways that no one else could and Jennifer has taken the time to make her participate in her own care and remind her that she is still capable of so much! She spent 25 minutes (a typically less than ten minute survey) going on and on about how much Jennifer’s support has impacted her. As someone in a leadership role, I always love having my team validated for the beautiful work that they do and I get wonderful phone calls all the time, but this was very special to me. No matter how much I tried to refocus this client on the survey, all she wanted to do was tell me how important Jennifer is to her life!”
