Theresa Stackhouse – Collaborative Spirit Award

Congratulations to Theresa Stackhouse, Administrative Assistant CC&PS – Orillia with LOFT Community Services Hub and Spoke program.

Theresa is nominated for the Collaborative Spirit Award for fostering teamwork across disciplines. Theresa was nominated by Stephanie Boehm, Coordinator of Complex Care and Assisted Living for LOFT’s Hub and Spoke program. Here is what Stephanie had to say:

“Theresa’s professional title is Administrative Assistant. This does not speak to all she does. There is no clear title for someone like Theresa. If I could describe Theresa’s whole persona in three words, they would be, “Never Say Never.” There is nothing she can’t and won’t do to improve the lives of those LOFT supports, or the team that she has working beside her. She quietly goes from room to room, uplifting those around her. Whether she is supporting a busy staff member, or taking a minute to check in on a sick client, Theresa can always be found improving those that she encounters.

I wish I could narrow down all the wonderful things that Theresa does, to just one quick blurb, or one scenario, but I can’t. Theresa is stationed in the Orillia Loft residence, but she is always the first one to volunteer to go to another one of our locations to support the team. Theresa isn’t merely Orillia LOFT’s champion, she is all of LOFT’s champion. For example, in early June she supported the LOFT’s Bradford house in a mass move to a new location. This may not seem like a huge gesture, but it speaks to the person that Theresa is. She is unable to see a challenge that can’t be overcome.

When you visit Orillia LOFT, you will often find Theresa in the halls with a client just chatting away. The clients seek her out because they recognize her as the most helpful person in the LOFT agency, just like the staff do. If Theresa hears a staff expressing concern over something, Theresa is the first one to say, “Let’s figure this out, or let’s see what I can do.” A truly genuine and amazing person. Our silent hero.”
