How can you keep you and your loved ones protected?

  • Avoid non-essential visits to friends and family in vulnerable settings like hospitals, long-term care or retirement homes if you are sick
  • Getting vaccinated for influenza, COVID-19 and RSV (if eligible) as soon as it is available to you
  • Washing your hands often and regularly cleaning then disinfecting high-touch surfaces
  • Covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
  • Consider wearing a tight-fitting medical mask in indoor public settings, especially if you are at higher risk of severe infection

  • The COHT Unattached Clinic provides access to interim primary care for individuals without a primary care provider in Couchiching

    • Routine Assessment & Check-Ups for Unattached Patients
    • Diagnosing and Treating Illnesses and Injuries
    • Ordering Procedures and Diagnostics
    • Prescribing Medications
    • Referral to Specialist if required
    • Urgent same-day appointments can be available if needed
      • These appointments are not walk-ins, please call ahead

  • Paediatric appointments available with a Nurse Practitioner for children and youth 18 years of age and younger
  • Orillia location: Monday 8:30am – 4pm & Friday 8:30am – 3pm
  • Oro-Medonte location: Thursday 9:00am – 3:30pm

  • Located at 250 West St N, unit 6 (new County of Simcoe campus) or HNPLC, 3331 Line 4 North, Oro-Medonte
  •  Eligibility:
    • Child has a medical condition or injury that does not require a hospital visit (non-life-threatening)
    • Child does not have a primary care provider in Couchiching or is unable to get a timely appointment with their primary care provider
    • Child has a valid Health Card
  • Childhood vaccinations also available at this Clinic

Couchiching After Hours Clinics

  • Available for patients depending on their primary care provider’s affiliation
  • Couchiching Family Health Organization (CFHO) After Hours Medical Clinic
    • Located at 119 Memorial Avenue, Suite 102
    • Monday – Friday 5pm – 7:30pm,
      Saturday 9am – 2:30pm
  • Orillia Family Health Organization (OFHO) After Hours Medical Clinic
    • Located at 210 Memorial Avenue, Suite 125
    • Monday – Thursday 5:30pm – 7:30pm,
      Saturday 9am – 2pm

Kindly note at OFHO After Hours Medical Clinic, patient registration ends 60 minutes before closing. At CFHO, patient registration ends 30 minutes before closing. These clinics are after-hours clinics and not walk-in clinics, intended for patients with a primary care provider. If you do not have a primary care provider, please ensure you are registered with Health Care Connect.

Central Region Virtual Urgent Care

Central Region Virtual Urgent Care

  • Virtual appointments available with a nurse practitioner
  • Eligibility:
    • Medical condition/injury is non-life-threatening and can be addressed virtually
    • Unable to get a timely appointment with your primary care provider/do not have a primary care provider

  • Available 7 days a week from 1pm – 9pm, including weekends and statutory holidays
The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse

  • Variety of onsite services through community partnerships for people experiencing homelessness in Couchiching
  • The Lighthouse Medical Clinic
    • Available for Registered Emergency Shelter & Community Program Participants who meet The Lighthouse criteria without a primary care provider
    • Available weekdays by appointment

Local Pharmacies

  • As of July 1, 2026, Ontario pharmacists are authorized to assess and prescribe for 28 minor ailments, including:
  • Acne (mild)
  • Allergic rhinitis
  • Calluses and corns
  • Candidal stomatitis (oral thrush)
  • Conjunctivitis (bacterial, allergic, viral)
  • Dermatitis (atopic, eczema, allergic, contact, diaper)
  • Fungal skin infections (tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis)
  • Hemorrhoids (mild)
  • Herpes simplex (oral and genital)
  • Impetigo
  • Insect bites
  • Mild cold sores
  • Mild urinary tract infections
  • Mild vaginal infections
  • Mild pain and inflammation (musculoskeletal)
  • Minor burns
  • Minor wounds and abrasions
  • Nausea and vomiting (mild)
  • Oral ulcers
  • Otitis externa (outer ear infection)
  • Pharyngitis (sore throat, mild)
  • Rhinitis (non-allergic)

  • Shingles (early stage)

  • Traveler’s diarrhea (mild)

  • Yeast infections (vaginal)
  • Other minor ailments as approved by the College

Pharmacists are also able to renew prescriptions for most medications, such as blood pressure, diabetes and asthma medications.
